Tokyo Wedding Photographers : Saegi & Andy – The Engagement (Part 1)
“Sweet springtime is my time is your time is our time for springtime is love time and viva sweet love.” ~ E.E. Cummings
We’re blaming it on the blossoms. On LOVE. And on spring. We have never, ever gone this long without a blog post – well, not recently at least. So here we are. Back. Celebrating for us, probably the most beautiful, dreamiest spring we’ve experienced in all these years in Japan. Particularly more poignant after last year. This year…it was simply breathtaking. Perhaps because we were just all over Japan. Chasing the Sakura Front. And with the blossoms now a fragrant memory, we are relieving them in editing, editing, editing. Happily absent is the nostalgia I often feel when they are gone so quickly. Now we get to see them everyday… probably for the next 3 months based on our current production schedule. It has been a delightful, exhausting, exhilarating few weeks. So we are in love with love. And work. Right now. And beautiful clients, treasured and new, we have been so thrilled to see you all. The inbox is currently endless and we will deal with it…eventually. We promise. From blossoms we now bound into “I do’s” with our Spring Wedding line-up. We’re hearing wedding bells for the next 2 months here, there and everywhere (this weekend it’s Kobe, then Tokyo, Tokyo, Tokyo, then end of June it’s Italy. Oh, yeah. Mama Mia!!!). More on all that soon. Much more.
So today we’re featuring the stars for our upcoming wedding this weekend. The very uber cool and altogether gorgeous Andy & Saegi. Their engagement session was playful and real, full of love and only-eyes-for-each-other moments. We had such a fabulous time we extended it over 2 sessions in homage to their New York inspired Tokyo wedding. This weekend they go fully Japanese (in Kobe), then next weekend their Tokyo wedding will be a showstopper. Yes, 2 weddings. 2 soul mates. 2 engagement sessions. A perfect storm of fabulousness. So today it’s all about daytime. Love OUT LOUD. Then tomorrow, when the sun goes down and the lights come on they take on Tokyo, NY style in the heart of the city. Make sure to drop by for part deux. So here we are. Early, early spring. The blossoms still anticipated. Celebrating, remembering, living a relationship in its own very sublime Springtime.

What a pleasure to wake up at … oh, 5 am this morning in Chicago and see this blog and the wonderful photos of Andy and Saegi! Makes me want to drop what I’m doing and have a ton of engagement and wedding parties – let’s throw in a birthday party or two as well – in picturesque Japan. FYI- 37 Frames is the only blog I follow. Anywhere. I really like the quality of your dream-like imagery, the dramatic underlying emotions (in humans or even in nature shots) and a bit of flair of that is unique to your own personalities. Please keep up the great work!
