Tokyo Wedding Photographers : Saegi & Andy – The Engagement (Part 2)
“They who meet on an April night are forever lost in love, if there’s moonlight all about and there’s no moon above.” ~ E.Y. “Yip” Harburg & Fred Saidy
And so we go from day to night. But not without a little re-cap of a what has been a beautifully surprising day. All over a very wet Tokyo. It started early, early, early with a Day in the Life Session. This was a special one. Featuring the gorgeous and very talented Swedish photographer Juliana and her husband Nils. This time they were in front of the cameras. No pressure at all photographing a photographer. Juliana’s in town from Sweden to cover a Ginza Wedding. We knew we’d love her from the start – we’ve had that much fun in emails, since the very, very first one. We so loved how their Tokyo story unfolded… from the chicest hotel to crashing a very local festival, we played up on trains, took on the streets, played in the rain and then some. The highlights will feature here soon. And then it was onto a stunning maternity session…with mama at 39 weeks. For real. I had to temper my boundless enthusiasm and lovelovelove for dreamily lit rooms, beautiful people and that “glow”. We are very happy to report we did not induce labor. This time.
And so now we’re firmly into the night. And who doesn’t love it when the sun goes down, the Tokyo lights start to twinkle and the sky is that jazz-blue cobalt? Of course it’s even more magical when you are in love. And with the one. And so here is Part 2 (following naturally, Part 1!) of Saegi & Andy’s Engagement Session. Taking on the city. In style and in love. From iconic backdrops, to Mr Big moments (there’s a back story here…revealed when the Tokyo wedding rolls around), encounters with shimmering blossoms and a playful romp on that scramble. Swoon. And this is just the prelude. We’re off to Kobe tomorrow in preparation for Sunday’s very Japanese wedding affair. Bags are packed as we fall in love with life a little bit more.
