“The temple bell stops but I still hear the sound coming out of the flowers.” ~ Basho
Had the Italian dream wedding this past weekend. Belissimo. Belissimo. Belissimo. Castles, Tuscany + celebrations … with perhaps, just perhaps a touch of vino… We’ll have a full write up as soon as we are back in Tokyo (if we come back…Italy…true amore…it’s tempting to stay). We are on our way to Norcia today. Apparently with the best salami in the world… AND a stronghold for that infamous black truffle. More elusive than usual due to the Trace & Dee truffle extravaganza of Umbria. Yes, there maybe a national shortage within days. And we make NO apologies. So we’re taking a few days now days to explore Umbria and Tuscany after the deliciously busy wedding week. With hopefully some fine weather to photograph the Piano Grande – fingers crossed we’re not to late to experience the sea of tremendous colors of all those poetically beautiful flowers in full bloom.
And flowers were just beginning to bloom in Tokyo when we connected again with this lovely family in Hibiya Park. Early, early spring. Delicate blossoms, family memories, another season in Tokyo…all the prettier in pink.
